Common questions

What does platinum-cured mean and why does it matter?

It is the cleaner curing chemistry. Platinum-cured silicone does not off-gas at temperature the way cheaper peroxide-cured silicone can. If you are using a pad in the oven or near food, platinum is what you want.

Will it stain?

Pigments and oils can leave temporary marks, especially turmeric and dyes. Most rinse off. Stubborn stains lift with a baking soda paste. The pad itself does not degrade.

Can I use it under a heat press?

Yes, for protection during cool-downs and as a base layer. Do not substitute it for PTFE during a press cycle. Silicone holds the heat. PTFE handles the release.
