Silicone Pads and Trivets: what to know before you order

Silicone pads are the reusable, heat-resistant workhorse of every small-batch workflow we know. Kitchen prep, candy cooling, resin pouring, craft assembly, soldering station protection, even the benchtop of a small retail counter. One pad replaces a stack of disposable parchment and outlasts it by thousands of cycles. We stock them in standard and oversized formats.

Platinum-cured silicone, not the cheap kind

There are two grades of silicone in consumer pads. Peroxide-cured is cheaper and off-gasses a little during the first few uses. Platinum-cured is the food-grade specification and is what we stock. It has higher heat tolerance, cleaner taste-and-odor performance, and a longer usable life.

Pad sizes for every bench

Standard pad size fits most home and small-batch kitchens. Oversized pads cover the full counter of a craft workstation. Trivets are the smaller, thicker cousin and are built for setting hot cookware directly on a bench. See our Nonstick Papers collection if you want single-use format instead of reusable.

Bulk ladder for pads and trivets

The bulk ladder works here the same as the rest of the store. 5 units earns 5 percent off, 10 earns 10 percent, 25+ earns 15 percent. The discount stacks with multi-pack SKUs, so a pack of 10 already counts as 10 units toward the ladder.

Frequently asked questions

What temperature can the pads handle?
Platinum-cured silicone is stable from about -40F to 450F in continuous use. Short exposures go higher without damage.

Can I cut the pad to size?
Yes. Silicone cuts cleanly with a sharp craft knife or heavy scissors. The cut edge does not fray.

Are the pads dishwasher safe?
Yes. Top rack dishwasher safe. Hand-washing extends life on heavily used pads.
