Common questions
Will my resin stick to a PTFE sheet?
No. PTFE is one of the lowest-friction surfaces commonly available. Most resin pours pop off after cure with a finger-lift. For unusually sticky formulations, a thin coat of mold release helps.
What does a 1ml glass syringe do?
Lets you dose pigment, dye, or thin epoxy components in measurable amounts. Plastic syringes degrade against resin solvents. Borosilicate glass syringes do not.
What goes wrong with cheaper silicone work pads?
Two things: the surface tackifies after one resin cure, or the silicone leaches into the resin and cures soft. Platinum-cured pads avoid both. The cheap ones are peroxide-cured. The difference shows up by the third pour.
