Food-safe, lab-tested

Flat-bottom jars trap product where a scoop can't reach. This one doesn't have corners. The curved bottom lets you scrape out the last bit of a balm, tip out the last few beads, or pour out the last of a pigment test. At 5ml (about 0.17oz), that last bit is a meaningful fraction of the jar.

The glass is borosilicate with 2-3mm walls, so it's chemically inert and clear enough to identify contents without opening. The black push-and-turn lid is ASTM D3475 certified child-resistant with a food-safe gasket liner. Real certification, not a marketing tag.

Diamond painters sort drills by color in these. Jewelry makers keep clasps and findings where they can see them. Small-batch makers use them for samples of anything valuable enough that waste stings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this jar truly child-resistant?

Yes. The push-and-turn lid is ASTM D3475 certified and tested to the federal standard (16 CFR 1700.20). Two motions to open, which is exactly what stops small hands.

Why does the round bottom matter at 5ml?

At this size, product stuck in flat corners is real waste. The curved bottom lets gravity and a quick scrape recover everything.

Can these be used for food?

Yes. Borosilicate glass is food-safe and doesn't leach, and the gasket seal handles spices, honey, and small-batch ingredients. Hand-wash the lid.

Will the gasket wear out?

It's good for 100+ open-close cycles. Most people get 6-12 months of regular use before thinking about a replacement lid, and replacement lids are cheap.

Can I sterilize these?

The glass can be boiled or autoclaved. Keep the plastic lid out of high heat; hand-wash it instead. Let both cool fully before resealing.
