Common questions
What is the difference between CR and screw-top?
CR lids require you to push down before twisting. Screw-top is a regular cap. CR is what you want for anything you do not want a child to open: medications, salves, balms. Screw-top is what you want for daily-access items.
Will the lid wear out?
The press-and-turn mechanism is in the lid itself, and we use a thicker polymer than the commercial-grade equivalents. Most customers report lids working fine three years in. If one ever fails, email us.
Are they airtight?
Yes for short-term storage. The CR lid uses a polyseal liner that holds against pressure for weeks. For permanent airtight storage, pair with a mylar bag inside the jar.
